A font is a style of type you can use in a document. For example, theres TIMES, HELVETICA, or FREESTYLE SCRIPT. There are literally thousands of different font styles to choose from. One of the easiest solutions we can offer to a very avoidable problem is to ask our customers who supply us their files for output remember to include the font libraries needed to print them. And for you PC Windows users, were going to take you step by step and show you how to include all your fonts with your documents. Follow along, you will be tested!
Keep track! Write a list of the fonts youre using for your document.

On the Windows START button, select Settings, then Control Panel.

The Control Panel window will open up, select the folder marked Fonts |
|
|
|
|

|
|
|
|
|
|
The Fonts window will open up, showing all the fonts that your program is using.
|
|
|

To copy the fonts youll need, select the My Computer Icon, then select the disk your going to copy the fonts to. In this case, well select a 3 1/2 floppy disk. Click it to open a window for that disk.

Go back to Fonts window, then select the fonts you are using in your documents. In this case, well select the font Arial. Be sure to select the entire font family, (Arial Italic, Arial Black, Arial Bold, etc). Then simply move your selected fonts to the floppy disk window to copy them.

Now you have copied your fonts to a floppy disk! You can send the fonts you have used along with your documents to ensure everything will look just the way you want it! |
