| Over the past century, the printing industry has been changing at an ever increasing pace, in Canada and worldwide. Some of the more dramatic changes took place immediately after the second world war, due in part to offset lithography and innovations in camera and platemaking equipment. Technological advances would continue to increase the speed and efficiency of the printing process, a trend which electronic printing (or photocopying) and later digital printing, would further accelerate. Automating the printing process meant that what once took days could now be produced in hours, more economically and with more order versatility for the customer.
Through the years, the logos of both Hurley Printing and Hurryprint have reflected the impact that technology has had on the printing industry. As they have changed, their style has been influenced as much by a commitment to keep pace with leading edge technology, as well as by the era in which they were created. Supplying the public with quality work, produced with the most up to date equipment, as quickly as possible has been a century old tradition which continues today.
